Independence Day closing schedule

Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Friday, July 3, as part of the Independence Day holiday weekend. Emergency services will be available as usual.

Certain city facilities have been closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. View a comprehensive list of closures and schedule changes.

Solid waste services

There will be no changes in garbage, recycle, yard waste or bulk collection schedules. The Environmental Collection Center and the drop-off stations will be open July 3 but closed July 4. The Southeast Landfill will be open July 4. If you have questions or need assistance, call 817-392-1234.

Libraries

All Fort Worth Library locations and their book drops will be closed July 3-4.

Park and recreation programs

Community centers and Haws Athletic Center will be closed July 3-4. Golf courses, McLeland Tennis Center and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden will be open both days. Log Cabin Village and the Fort Worth Nature Center will be open on July 3 but closed on July 4.

Animal services

The main Animal Care & Adoption Center is closed July 3, but open normal hours July 4. PetSmart Adoption Centers are open July 3 but will close at 5 p.m. July 4.

Water

To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.

City Council

The next City Council meeting will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 4.

Trinity Metro transportation

On July 4, Trinity Metro bus services will operate on a Sunday schedule. Trinity Railway Express will not be in service. TexRAIL will operate on a regular schedule.
