Registration open for second annual PACS Dash 5K

On your marks: Registration is open now for the second annual PACS Dash 5k and 1-mile Fun Run.
Conducted by the Parks and Community Services Department (PACS) to raise funds for Fort Worth After School programs, the event is scheduled for March 2, 2013.
The 2012 inaugural race drew participants from 25 cities across Texas and from as far away as California and Georgia.
“The success of last year’s PACS Dash 5K demonstrates community support of our youth programs,” said Richard Zavala, director of Parks and Community Services. “We are excited to offer this event to our community.”
This year’s USATF-certified course will start and finish at 3024 ACME Brick Plaza. The paved course will travel east on Edwards Ranch Road.
Both races are open to two-legged runners of every age, four-legged friends and strollers. A post-race party will follow at the staging area. Cash prizes will be awarded to the male, female and team with the quickest times.
