Meters are located in the central business district, the medical district and along University Street near TCU. Meters in these areas are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and are free after 6 p.m. and all day Saturdays and Sundays. Meters located in the Cultural District are on Will Rogers West and are operational 6 a.m to 10 p.m. seven days a week. All meters are free on City of Fort Worth observed holidays:

If a parking meter has a red bag on it, you may not park at this meter. If an unauthorized vehicle is parked on a red-bagged meter, the vehicle is subject to being cited and/or impounded.
Before leaving your vehicle that is parked at a meter, please be sure to check if this meter is in a time restricted or valet parking zone. If you are in a time restricted area, the meter will shut off, whether there is time on the meter or not, and you will then be in violation. If you are in a valet zone, your vehicle may be cited and/or impounded.

West Seventh Street Area Parking Meters
The West Seventh Street area uses a combination of extended-hours metered parking and a demand driven variable rate structure to decrease parking search time and congestion, and improve space turnover.
West Seventh Street area meter rates
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $1 per hour
- 4 p.m.-10 p.m. $2.50 per hour
- 10 p.m.-10 a.m. FREE
Parking meter fees may be adjusted 25 cents per hour on a weekly basis based on demand with a maximum allowable rate of $4.50 per hour and a minimum rate of $1 per hour.
Parking meters in the West Seventh Street Area are operational seven days a week except on the City of Fort Worth observed holidays listed above.
Drivers are required to move their vehicles when the meter time limits expire. Drivers cannot insert more coins to extend the time on the meter.
Drivers with valid disability placards or license plates may park at city meters for free up to the meter's maximum time limit, listed in the rates above.
Parking meters may be rented for special events or in conjunction with construction work being performed in the street, sidewalk or adjacent property.
An initial fee of $20 plus $10 per metered space per day is required. An expedited fee of $100 is required per meter order if turnaround time is 48 hours or less.
In the event that the requester is disabled and needs to get as close as possible (at a street meter) to the place in which business is being conducted, please send proof of disability and proof of required business in the vicinity along with the request for rental.
If you have experienced a problem with a parking meter, you may report the malfunction by calling 817-392-1234. You will need to know the four-digit meter number located on either the front and/or back of the meter. If you deposited a coin in the meter and it did not register any time, and if there are not any other signals displayed, you are still responsible for ensuring that there is time on the meter before leaving your vehicle.
