Material and Resource Conservation

Paper Reduction

1. Encourage customers to view/pay municipal bills electronically
2. Provide pay stubs electronically (website or e-mail)

Energy Conservation

3. Remove personal heaters and refrigerators from individual work space

Water Conservation

4. Install low flow plumbing fixtures at high demand City facilities*

City Facilities

New Construction

5. Adopt a policy requiring new City buildings to be LEED Silver or better certified when the certification cost does not exceed 5% of the
   construction cost.
6. Promote use of alternative energy sources

Existing Facilities

7. Obtain LEED EB Silver certification or better on major renovations when the cost of certification does not exceed 5% of the construction
   cost.
8. Expand the availability of "T" stops at city facilities
9. Promote the use of alternative energy sources*
10. Install cool or green roof at City facilities as they are renovated
