Ground Transportation Office

The Ground Transportation Office has the responsibility for overseeing and administering city code provisions

  • taxicabs
  • shuttles
  • limousines
  • other for-hire passenger vehicles

In addition to working with the management of the various businesses applying for and granted operating authority in the city, the Ground Transportation Coordinator works directly with driver applicants, permitted drivers, the local hospitality industry, City staff and other jurisdictions. Some of the regulatory activities of the Coordinator include the investigation of applicants for operating authority within the city, customer complaints, safety and reliability of vehicles and drivers, and assurance of quality service for Fort Worth citizens and visitors.
