"A Celebration of Industrial and Environmental Successes" 
The 13th Annual Pretreatment Awards Ceremony was held November 10, 2011 at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Many industrial and commercial facilities were recognized as forerunners in preserving environmental resources. Awards were presented for compliance with pretreatment regulations as well as pollution prevention activities.
The Pretreatment Awards Ceremony honored those facilities that demonstrated a commitment to environmental compliance. Specifically, these companies attained 100 percent compliance with their wastewater pretreatment permits.
The compliance awards are broken into four categories: Pretreatment Star Award welcomes industries with one year of compliance; Pretreatment Associate Award recognizes two consecutive years of continual compliance; Pretreatment Partnership Award recognizes 10 years of consecutive compliance; and the Pretreatment Stewardship Award recognizes 15 or more years of consecutive compliance. This year, six industries attained 100 percent compliance for 10 or more consecutive years.
Three facilities were given Pollution Prevention Awards for their proactive measures to reduce waste and save natural resources. In addition, Two restaurants received the Restaurant Award fort their environmental compliance. Fort Worth wholesale customers (City of Everman, City of Richland Hills and City of Saginaw) also honored some of their customers for being compliant with environmental regulations.
