BuySpeed Online Password Policy

BuySpeed Online (BSO) users will be required to create more complex passwords beginning June 1, 2010.

The change comes following recent audits of the City’s Financial Systems, which have recommended that City of Fort Worth employees use passwords that are more difficult to break. Password requirements were updated on the City’s network in August 2009, and the BSO policy change will follow the same requirements to ensure compliance with common industry practice.

Changes to BSO password policy will take effect Tuesday, June 1, 2010, after which users will be asked to use the new standards when their current passwords expire.
