Airport Sound Construction Compliance Packet and Construction Checklist (55 pages; pdf; 4.5MB)
City Council has approved amendments that require noise attenuation for new building construction to ensure that interior noise levels do not exceed 45 DNL (per federal standards) for residences, nursing homes, hospitals, day care centers, and schools. Walls, windows, exterior doors and roofs would be subject to soundproofing requirements.
These changes affect development in the Noise Impact Area and we encourage you to review the regulations. SEE MAP
