The Multi-Family Inspection Section is tasked with ensuring landlords provide suitable, safe and sanitary conditions to families living in multi-family communities throughout the city of Fort Worth.
Complexes: Three or more units
Three and above means: three or more units under the same roof (triplexes); three or more on one lot under the same ownership; or three or more units on connecting lots all owned by the same person
Annual registration is a $13 flat fee for each rental unit.
Requires out of state property owners to designate a local agent to accept legal service, and a contact for local emergencies

Crime-free Multi-housing Program
The Crime Free Multi-Housing Program is a state-of-the-art crime prevention program designed to reduce crime, drug activity and gang presence on apartment properties.
The program consists of three phases that must be completed under the supervision of the Fort Worth Police Department. Property Managers, Assistant Managers and Leasing Agents can become individually certified after completing training in each phase, and the property becomes certified upon successful completion of all three phases.
Property Managers, Assistant Managers and Leasing Agents authorized to execute a lease with prospective tenants in a complex with eight or more units must attend an eight-hour training within six months of hire date. The landlord or at least one employee for the complex shall attend a four-hour refresher training annually.

Workshops are held in the auditorium of the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix St., on Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. for refresher training.

The eight-hour training is intended for those who last attended training before Aug. 2, 2023, or have never attended training:

The four-hour refresher training is intended for those who completed the eight-hour training after Aug. 2, 2023:

- May 7 (evening course)
