Noah Saldana: A compassionate hero of the FWACC team
Published on February 13, 2024
Meet Noah Saldana, a member of FWACC's hard-working Field Operations staff.
Jeff Jones, Field Operations Supervisor, recently received a phone call from a resident that left him smiling ear to ear. The resident praised Noah, Senior Animal Control Officer - West District, for his outstanding customer service when she and her husband found an abandoned dog.
The couple took the dog to a rescue and were turned away. “A call to Fort Worth Animal Care & Control was her last resort,” Jones said.
When Noah arrived on scene, the resident quickly realized that he was the perfect person for the job.
“The resident explained to me that her image of a ‘dog catcher’ was deep rooted at a young age and thought that our job was to pick up unwanted dogs and euthanized them immediately,” Jeff said. “She stated that after meeting Noah, her perception of Animal Control has been forever altered.”
The resident remarked on how kind Noah was to her and her son, but especially on the kindness he showed the scared and emaciated pup. She said he did everything right and that showing her a picture of his personal dogs made her feel at ease that Noah was going to do the right thing.
As for Noah, it was just another day at the office. “I’m glad I was able to help both them and the dog,” he said. “I enjoy the opportunity to help every dog I can.”
We commend Noah Saldana for exemplifying the City’s core value of Exceptional Customer Experience. He’s a true asset to this organization and to the City of Fort Worth as a whole.
“Thank you for your commitment to building the trust of this community and ensuring that animals in our care are being treated humanely and with dignity,” Jeff said.
