Habitat for Humanity JPS Neighborhood Enhancement
The site consists of approximately 1.55 acres of vacant land consisting of 14 former residential lots located on eight parcels of land. Planned development includes a neighborhood support center, rehabilitation and activity center, and safe-house for the local underserved community utilizing the nearby JPS Hospital. This also includes development of a small pocket park to accent other Habitat for Humanity homes nearby that support underserved people within the local community.
Evans & Rosedale Re-Development
In the Evans and Rosedale area, the City of Fort Worth completed Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments of the Evans, covering approximately 110 parcels that were historic industrial, commercial, and residential uses. After reviewing environmental conditions, some of the sites were redeveloped to what is now the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, Shamblee Branch Library, a public park and plaza, a renovated street, Jack in the Box, and a 7-11 gas station. Redevelopment continues in the area.
