Evans & Rosedale Redevelopment Project

The Historic Southside and Evans & Rosedale Urban Village is a vibrant district located less than five minutes from Downtown Fort Worth, and 10 minutes away from most attractions in Fort Worth. A former hub of Black commerce, the Historic Southside has housed many of the Fort Worth's (and even the nation's) first black entrepreneurs and is an extremely important part of the city's history.

The City of Fort Worth has invested over $30 million into the area's infrastructure, redevelopment, and planning efforts since the late 1990s.

In August 2024, the City of Fort Worth announced that Royal Capital would become the master developer for the Evans & Rosedale redevelopment project. The Milwaukee-based company was ultimately chosen out of eleven proposals that were reviewed by a selection committee composed of city staff and representatives from the Historic Southside Neighborhood Association.
