Our Internal Compliance Team evaluates city facilities and functions for compliance with state Air Quality regulations, then provides training and support to responsible personnel in order to encourage and maintain compliance status. This function is provided in order to raise air quality awareness within the City organization and exhibit the City of Fort Worth's leadership role in providing municipal services while maintaining Federal and State environmental standards.
The PST Program evaluates city-owned, operated, and leased properties that maintain an Above- or Underground Storage Tank (AST/UST) that stores petroleum fuels. The evaluations consider Federal and State standards enacted to eliminate the release of liquid fuels and fuel vapors into the surrounding soil, groundwater, and air. Compliance recommendations, staff training, and regulatory support are provided to key personnel in order to help city departments maintain critical fueling points with minimal environmental impact.
The Air Quality Program evaluates city-owned, operated, and leased properties that perform operations that result in the emission of State and Federal regulated air pollutants. As with the PST Program, compliance recommendations, staff training, and regulatory support are provided to key personnel in order to help city departments maintain operations with minimal environmental impact.
The Tier II Reporting Program works in coordination with Risk Management Department and staff city-wide to provide State, local officials, and the public with specific information on potential hazards, including the locations and the amounts of hazardous chemicals present at city facilities during the previous calendar year.
The Regulatory Compliance Support Team coordinates staff training for topics concerning regulatory compliance across the City with the intent of educating City staff members about Air Quality emissions health impacts, practices to reduce emissions, and protocols to comply with State and Federal Air Quality regulations.
