NCTCOG Regional Air Quality Improvement Plan Public Meeting

The City of Fort Worth is collaborating with The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and all regional partners, and all north Texas residents to develop an Air Quality Improvement Plan for the Dallas-Fort Worth area (DFW AQIP). The funding to develop this plan was made available by the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG).

What the DFW AQIP aims to accomplish:

• Create a roadmap to improve air quality.
• Protect public health.
• Reduce the impacts of extreme weather events.

Ways to Share Your Ideas:

Residents are invited to give their feedback on projects and strategies they would like to be considered as a part of the DFW AQIP in two ways:

1. Take the survey today: Offer feedback through the online survey for community members and advocates online at www.publicinput.com/dfwAQIP-survey.

2. Attend an open house: Feedback can also be offered at an upcoming open house hosted by the NCTCOG and the City of Fort Worth. NCTCOG is offering several upcoming open houses across the metroplex, including one in Fort Worth on January 18, 2024. What to expect: The meeting will consist of a short presentation summarizing the planning effort and air quality challenges in the DFW region. Attendees will also have an opportunity to share ideas with City and NCTCOG staff, as well as take the input survey as we work together to develop strategies for the future.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments is a regional planning agency created to bring individuals and local governments together and to support a variety of issues across North Texas.
