Why compost?
Better grass, better gardens, and a more Beautiful Fort Worth! Composting saves valuable nutrients from the landfill, puts them back into our soil, and lowers the amount of watering needed for a green front yard.
Did you know
More than 30% of what goes into the Fort Worth landfill could be composted. Through small changes in our daily lives, we can help preserve the landfill capacity for years to come and forestall millions of tax-dollar expenditures with new infrastructure.
Learn how to compost
From the basics of backyard composting to the science behind it, the Master Composter Class empowers participants to compost at home and to teach others about composting.
