STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATION

COMMUNITY CENTER AND

AQUATICS FACILITY DESIGN

 

The City of Fort Worth invites the submittal of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified architectural teams interested in providing design services in connection with the new Community Center and Aquatics Facility to be located at the former J.A. Cavile Place Apartments near East Rosedale and Liberty Streets (1500 block of Liberty Street).

 

The City of Fort Worth, in partnership with Fort Worth Housing Solutions, intends to replace the M.L. King Community Center with a new, approximately 30,000 square foot, facility and provide a new Aquatics Facility.  The community center will include site improvements, including but not limited to gymnasium, fitness area, day care facilities, and meeting rooms.  The aquatics center will include the pool, bathhouse, and associated amenities required for operation. 

 

The selected team will provide services, including developing the program in coordination with the Stop Six Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan, creating architectural and engineering designs, reviewing and compiling budgets and recommending furniture, furnishings and equipment.    The City intends to request statements of qualifications from qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contractors who will perform pre-construction during the design phase to assist with constructability issues and estimating.  The combined project construction budget is approximately $20,000,000.

 

PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING

·         A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held at the Martin Luther King Community Center, 5565 Truman Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76112, at 2:00 PM on February 3, 2022.

·         A member of the selection team will be available to answer questions and a site visit will follow.

·         This is not a mandatory meeting.

·         Last Day for Question will be February 10, 2022.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES DESIRED

The professional services of the architectural teams will be based on the GSA Standard Form 330 (Architect-Engineer Qualification) format and should include information on community center like projects and aquatic projects, proposed project manager(s) and consultants and their qualifications, and client references with names, titles, telephone numbers, project names, and other pertinent data.  The SOQ is limited to 32 pages total.  Cover Letters, covers, and dividers will not count as part of the 32 pages total.

SUBMISSIONS

The seven (7) copies of the SOQs must be received by Facilities Division of the Property Management Department, City of Fort Worth located at 401 West 13th Street, Fort Worth, Texas  76102.  The SOQs must be received not later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
