Kids doing yoga

Find your zen and embrace inner peace with our Freedom and Victory Yoga class, designed just for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade!

Join us for a fun and interactive session where an experienced instructor will guide you through playful poses and calming breathing exercises.

Yoga mats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have one. This class is a great way for young ones to stretch, strengthen, and unwind while discovering the joys of yoga. Come have fun and step into your own space of tranquility and triumph!

As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library empowers lifelong learning. We designed this program for kids (grades K-5).

About the Instructor:

girton-headshotDanny Girton is a philanthropy leader in the University of Texas at Dallas Center for BrainHealth, a cognitive neuroscience research and translation institute dedicated to defining and measuring human upward potential through proactive brain optimization strategies for all ages.

Also a dedicated yoga and meditation practitioner, Danny admires the brain’s neuroplasticity and how, when neurons wire together by firing together, we can choose to take positive steps toward flourishing.

As a 200-hours certified yoga teacher, he has guided BrainHealth teams through mindful breathing and desk stretch routines, as well as presented a superheroes themed yoga session for gifted and talented students in collaboration with the Keller Community of Gifted Student Supporters (COGSS), a nonprofit he led from 2023-24 that advocates for ambitious young scholars.
