Learn the Language of the Spanish Fan!

December 6th is Spain’s Constitution Day, a day to celebrate all things Spain. Join us to make your own Spanish fan and learn and practice its unique language!

Fans have been a part of Spanish culture since at least the 16th century. Did you know that in addition to cooling you off, they can be used to communicate? Certain movements can mean "follow me" or "yes / no." They can even be found in flamenco dancing, where their movements are choreographed with the music and the dancer's steps.

As part of the cultural fiber of Fort Worth, your library creates spaces and opportunities for conversations and exploration. We created this cultural program specifically for adults.
