Bring your family to First Monday Literacy Days at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge to receive free admission with your Fort Worth Public Library card from 7 a.m. to noon on the first Mondays of June, July and August. Nature Center and Library staff will present two special Family Story Times and Nature Walks at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. starting at the Hardwicke Interpretive Visitors Center.

Enjoy the nature-related stories and then explore the natural beauty of the refuge and the wild animals that call it home. Each day will have a specific nature-related theme:

  • June 3: Grasses
  • July 1: Butterflies
  • Aug. 5: Dragonflies

As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library offers activities to foster a lifelong love of learning. We designed this program for all ages to enjoy nature together!
