The Fort Worth EnVision Center is designed to empower individuals and families by providing centralized resources and support to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
These centers aim to connect communities with critical federal resources and programs, helping residents improve their economic outlook and quality of life.
Goals - Four Pillars of Opportunity
EnVision Centers offer support and measure success based on four pillars of opportunity.
The Economic Empowerment pillar is designed to improve the economic sustainability of individuals residing in HUD-assisted housing by empowering them with opportunities to improve their economic outlook.
The Education pillar seeks to bring educational opportunities directly to HUD-assisted housing and includes partnering with public and private organizations that approach education in non-traditional ways on non-traditional platforms.
The Health and Wellness pillar is designed to improve access to health outcomes by individuals and families living in HUD-assisted housing.
The Character and Leadership pillar is designed to enable all individuals and families residing in HUD-assisted housing, especially young people, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens by encouraging participation in volunteer and mentoring opportunities.
Envision Center regularly invites area company representatives to career and job fairs hosted at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center designed to inform job seekers of job openings and opportunities. We encourage participants to be prepared and bring a least dozen copies of their resume and cover letter.
The Aspiring Young Lawyers Summer Camp introduces Tarrant County youth to the many roles lawyers and policy-makers play in our society. The Camp is an opportunity for youth to observe and learn some of the necessary skills required to become future lawyers, judges and protectors of the judicial system.
Law lectures included topics such as Criminal Law, Trial Advocacy, Tort Law, Civil Procedure , Law School Academia/ Competition Preparation, Family Law, Immigration, Public Office and preparing opening & closing arguments for a mock trial.
The camp is sponsored by the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association, in partnership with the City of Fort Worth EnVision Center, and held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
The Fort Worth EnVision Center teams up with area agencies to host Financial Empowerment seminars to educate the community on making positive decisions for financial stability and financial well-being.
The emotional component of personal finances is just as important. When people feel more financially empowered, they feel more confident in making decisions to change the trajectory of their lives.
