Financial Compass Tarrant County provides financial education to individuals and families to help empower and provide resources towards financial stability. Our mission is guiding Tarrant County residents to Financial Empowerment.
The City of Fort Worth was awarded grant funds through Cities of Service, which is a nonprofit organization that helps mayors build stronger cities by changing the way local government and citizens work together. Cities of Service supports a coalition of more than 260 cities. This organization helps coalition cities tap into the knowledge, creativity, and service of their citizens to help identify and solve critical public problems.
The intent of this Financial Compass of Tarrant County is to engage older adults as volunteers in efforts to address public problems related to the drivers of poverty, such as financial insecurity, planning and exploitation. The Experience Matters Program area of focus is financial empowerment and is administered by the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services. The program focus areas are the following:

Frost offers financial literacy education in the communities we serve. Aimed at audiences ranging from Preschoolers to Seniors, the classes are intended to increase personal finance competencies. Frost Community Representatives strive to deliver the sessions in an engaging and relatable fashion.

For 23 years, Pathfinders has served Tarrant County by providing self-sufficiency mentoring and financial coaching to help eliminate poverty and move families to economic stability. The Financial Capability program uses a client-driven approach that includes goal setting and action planning through coaching on budgeting, banking, borrowing and credit to improve financial behaviors. Financial Capability services include financial coaching and asset building.
