Neighborhood Improvement Program

Seminary Neighborhood

The Seminary neighborhood was selected in December 2023 to receive a $4 million Neighborhood Improvement Program, which will begin in 2024. The target neighborhood lies in Council District 9 and is bounded by James Avenue on the west, West Seminary Drive and West Felix Street on the north, I-35W on the east and I-20 and Greenbriar Park on the south.

Worth Heights Neighborhood

The Worth Heights neighborhood was selected in December 2023 to receive a $4 million Neighborhood Improvement Program, which will begin in 2024. The rectangular-shaped tract lies in Council District 11 and is bounded by Hemphill Street on the west, West Biddison Street on the north, I-35W on the east and West Seminary Drive on the south.

Historic Marine Neighborhood

The Historic Marine was selected as the neighborhood to focus its $3,887,650 Neighborhood Improvement Program allocation in 2023. The Neighborhood Improvement Program is an annual effort of the City of Fort Worth, implemented by Neighborhood Services Department staff, that provides targeted capital investments to improve the quality of life and enhance public safety. Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood

The Las Vegas Trail Neighborhood, also known as “LVT”, is a distressed neighborhood on the west side of Fort Worth that is currently experiencing high levels of crime and economic distress. The neighborhood’s predominate land use is dense multiple-family housing with minimal amounts of commercial development, jobs, or community services. Announced 2022 - more >>>

Como Area Neighborhood

The Como Area has been selected as the fifth Neighborhood Improvement Program target area. As part of this program, funds have been set aside by City Council to provide $3.19 million in funding for public safety, capital improvements, and neighborhood revitalization to the Como neighborhood. Rosemont Area Neighborhood

The Fairhaven neighborhood was selected in February 2025 to receive $4.2 million in Neighborhood Improvement Program funding, Neighborhoods are selected for the program based on factors such as financial distress, available opportunities and the current state of the area.
