On September 1, 2009, the City Council approved the dedication of approximately 39.1 acres of parkland and park facility improvements from KHI Post-Consummation Trust and KHI Liquidation Trust. Improvements at the time of dedication included one parking lot with post and cable barrier, a playground, four benches, trash receptacles, and approximately 1,576 linear feet of trail at an estimated value of $216,404.72.
