Fun facts

Daggett Park is an example of providing parks near public schools. The 3.4-acre park is adjacent to E.M. Daggett Elementary School which serves the Fairmount, Ryan Place, and surrounding neighborhoods.  The Fairmount Neighborhood Association has been a benefactor to the park. In 2002, funds from the association’s Model Blocks Award were used for playground improvements.  The school was named for Ephraim M. Daggett, (1810-1883), a pioneer merchant, legislator, and booster for the advancement of Fort Worth.
