Fun facts and History

Friendship Park is a 5.5-acre park in the Presidio West Addition that was acquired from First Texas Homes and dedicated in 2015. At the time of acquisition, the developer had constructed a 3,600 square foot playground, approximately 3,000 linear feet of trail, a shelter with three picnic tables and two benches, a baseball backstop and practice field, and six additional benches which exceeded the Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication Policy. It is in far north Fort Worth, west of Interstate 35W and south of Heritage Trace Parkway. The park’s name was chosen by the developer
