Fun facts and History

The Park Board approved the purchase of 20 acres in the Hallmark Addition in far south Fort Worth for park purposes in 1963. By 1965, it was reported that it had 12 acres and by 2009, it had 21.85 acres. That year, an additional 3.503 acres was acquired to provide improved neighborhood ingress and egress. The park includes tennis courts, softball, baseball, and soccer fields, and a shelter and picnic facilities. Athletic field improvements were undertaken in 2003 and the playground received improvements in 2007.
