Fun facts and History

On September 23, 2008, the City Council accepted the dedication of 8.21 acres of parkland and facility improvements from Forestar (USA) Real Estate Group, Inc. in accordance with the Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication Policy. Improvements completed by the developer included a pedestrian bridge, two benches, trash receptacles, approximately 1,690 linear feet of multi-use trail, two floating fountains, and planting 136 trees. The Parks of Deer Creek Homeowners Association agreed to maintain the park, the fountains, and the irrigation system. In 2018 the adoption expired and maintenance was turned back over to PARD.
