Fun facts

In 2017, this park was identified and dedicated as parkland through the Mitchell Boulevard Model Blocks Program. A park master plan is being developed for design and construction of park amenities that include, but not limited to, the construction of park trail and fitness area, picnic facilities, playground, recreational courts, security lighting, and supporting infrastructure and equipment.

The geology of the park is Grayson Marl which expresses interbeds of limestone, fossils and sandy nodules. The soils are an equal mix of Sanger series, comprised of clayey marine sediments from the Early Cretaceous and Aledo and Bolar soils with interbedded limestones and marls.

View animal, plant and insect species observed at Wesleyan Hills Park and make some of your own observations through iNaturalist. See link under the "Related information" Section.
