Fun Facts and History

Woodmont Park is a linear park that follows a tributary of Sycamore Creek. It is in the Woodstream development in south Fort Worth. It is southwest of Westcreek Park and adjacent to South Hills High School. The Woodstream subdivision was developed by D. R. Horton, Inc. In its Community Facilities Agreement with the City of Fort Worth, it agreed to deed approximately 15 acres for park purposes and to construct a hike-and-bike trail and a low-water crossing. The park was officially dedicated in 1982. Trees and irrigation were added in 1984.
