The city is considering a bond election in May 2022. The goals of the program are to:
- Maintain and improve existing infrastructure and address equity.
- Provide mobility and city services in growth areas.
- Enhance active transportation and recreational corridors.
- Allow for flexibility and partnership opportunities.
- Achieve balance and fiscal stewardship.
How are the project lists developed?
City staff uses information from a number of sources to develop the list of recommended projects. This is an ongoing process between bond elections. This includes:
- City Council input and recommendations.
- Input from neighborhoods and residents.
- Data collection and analysis.
- Master plans and strategic goals that are updated on a regular basis.
- Development activity in the city.
- Projects that were on the 2018 list but weren’t funded.
- Service demand.
- Boards and Commission input.
On February 8, City Council voted to place these propositions on the May 7 ballot.
