The proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Jeanette Martinez was born and raised in Fort Worth. A product of the Fort Worth Independent School District, she pursued higher education at Tarrant County College. From there she earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas Wesleyan University and Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Professionally, Jeanette is Executive Administrator to Tarrant County Precinct One Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks. In her role, she focuses on administrative and constituent services by solving constituent problems and working alongside organizations to stay informed of resources available to Tarrant County residents. Jeanette currently serves on various nonprofits that include the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains as Vice Chair, Pathfinders, and Survive and Thrive Education along with various government boards and committees.
She is the first City Council member elected to serve Fort Worth’s newly created District 11. Jeanette additionally made history as the first Latina elected to serve on the Fort Worth City Council.
Jeanette is a wife to Eric and mother of three. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, play tennis and spend time with family and pets.
