UPDATE: As we continue operations through the year, and plan for future waves of COVID-19, the needs for volunteers will remain.

Individuals with medical backgrounds who are interested in volunteering their skills can join the Medical Personnel Supplemental Manpower Task Force to assist with COVID-19 efforts.

Volunteers should have appropriate credentials such as registered nurse, licensed vocational nurse, patient care technician, certified nursing assistant, nurse practitioner or physician assistant, or relevant experience such as medication aides or emergency medical services experience. Nursing students are also welcome to volunteer for certain tasks.

Volunteers would be assigned to generically fill identified needs across Tarrant County to help care for patients or residents in a wide variety of settings. In some cases, volunteers may help provide support in a setting where their particular area of experience or training is relevant.

The duration of the work depends on a volunteer’s availability; a volunteer could help for a few days or up to a month.

Interested volunteers should apply online to the Tarrant County Medical Society.
