The City is looking for drivers to fill multiple equipment operator positions in litter control and street sweeping operations. These positions will deliver exceptional service to more than 900,000 residents. The position pays $19.70-$20.56 per hour and offers room for advancement.
A hiring event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 5 offers on-the-spot interviews. The hiring event will be at the Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, 818 Missouri Ave.
Minimum qualifications for equipment operator include high school diploma or GED; valid Texas driver’s license; Class A or B CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain a CDL within nine months of hire date; two years of experience operating motorized equipment (previous street sweeping, roll-off or grappler truck experience is a plus).
