Fort Worth City Secretary Jannette Goodall will assume the additional role of president of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association in January.
The Texas Municipal Clerks Association is a statewide professional organization dedicated to providing educational and professional development for novice and experienced city clerks.
The association oversees the Texas Registered Municipal Clerk Certification Program. Members must complete a four-part exam that covers a variety of topics.
The TMCA board is a volunteer board that oversees staff administering the program. There are 17 chapters around the state with about 1,136 members.
Goodall previously served as a board trustee for three years, treasurer and president elect.
Goodall was named Fort Worth city secretary in October 2021.
