City has street sweeper, equipment operator jobs open

Looking to help improve the cleanliness of Fort Worth? Come work for the Code Compliance Department.

The opportunity: Fort Worth is seeking highly motivated people to fill multiple equipment operator positions on the litter control and street sweeper operations teams. These positions will deliver exceptional services to more than 900,000 residents. The position offers room for advancement.

On-the-spot interviews will be available at the Code Compliance Hiring Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, 818 Missouri Ave.

Know before you go

• Preregistration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome on the day of the job fair.
• Bring your resume.
• All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license. A Class A or B commercial driver's license must be obtained within nine months of the hire date.
• Positions require two years of experience operating motorized equipment. Previous street sweeping, roll-off or grappler truck experience is a plus.
