City Council preview for Dec. 13

Fort Worth City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Texas St.

  • A resolution would designate the Historic Marine neighborhood as the Neighborhood Improvement Program target area for fiscal year 2023 and support the use of $3,887,650 in capital funds for the program.
  • Council will vote on the sale of the building housing the Central Library, 500 W. Third St., for $18 million to Dart Interests LLC.
  • Following a public hearing, Council will vote on renewing the City’s youth curfew ordinance for another three years.
  • Council will consider contracts for new playground equipment and other improvements at several City parks.
  • Council will vote on authorizing a lease with 5th Street Partners LP for a building at 2929 W. Fifth St. to be used as the West Seventh Street Substation by the Fort Worth Police Department.
  • A vote on adopting the City’s 2023 federal and administrative agenda will be conducted.
  • Council may adopt an ordinance appointing substitute municipal judges Thelma Anderson, Rita Ballard and Terry Reeves for two-year terms.
  • A resolution would endorse District 5 Councilmember Gyna M. Bivens’ appointment to the Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee of the National League of Cities.
  • There are 19 zoning cases on the agenda, including a plan to build more apartments in the Montgomery Plaza area.
  • Certificates will be presented to Beck School of Construction graduates. Proclamations will honor Gen. Michael E. Langley and the Forest Oak Middle School football team.
