Fort Worth golf courses named among the best in region

The November issue of Avid Golfer magazine featured their “Best of Public Golf 2022” article. City of Fort Worth golf courses were very well represented.

The highlights:

  • Rockwood Park Golf Course was ranked No. 10 in DFW West rankings – up from No. 14 last year.
  • Rockwood Park Golf Course was named “Best Value.”
  • Meadowbrook Golf Course received an honorable mention.
  • Meadowbrook Golf Course was noted as next renovation – West Side of DFW.
  • Pecan Valley River Course and Hills Course both received an Honorable Mention.

“Golf enthusiasts from around North Texas know we have some of the best public golf courses here in Fort Worth, and recognition like this serves to back that up,” said Dave Lewis, interim director of the City’s Park & Recreation Department. “Rockwood Park Golf Course is one of the best public courses around after its recent redesign, and the early design work for Meadowbrook Golf Course makes us excited to see that project come to fruition.”
