Provide input for the master plan of Ciquio Vasquez Park during a community meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Worth Heights Community Center, 3551 New York Ave.
Ciquio Vasquez Park, 1000 Echo Lake Drive, was formerly known as Echo Lake Park. The 41.3-acre park includes a 17-acre lake and sports fields, which were used by Southside Little League. The City assumed ownership of the park from Tarrant County in 2017 in as-is condition.
Echo Lake Park was renamed Ciquio Vasquez Park in 2022 in honor of Ciquio Vasquez and his commitment to Echo Lake Park and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The scope of the park master plan includes the layout of roads and parking areas, a trail system, park amenities, lake erosion control and water quality improvements, park security and accessibility.
