VIDEO: Your property tax bill and local taxing entities

The City of Fort Worth continues to inform residents about the 2023 proposed budget. A newly released video gives details about property tax bills and the local taxing entities.

The City has held various Budget Engagement Meetings to gather feedback from residents and to answer questions about the proposed budget. If you haven’t attended a meeting, below are more opportunities:

  • Thursday, Sept. 1, 6 p.m., Chisholm Trail Community Center, 4300 McPherson Blvd.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 7, 6 p.m., Shamblee Library, 1062 Evans Ave.
  • Thursday, Sept. 8, 6 p.m., Rockwood Golf Course, 1851 Jacksboro Hwy.

Residents can also provide comments to City Council during meetings held at City Hall, 200 Texas St.:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 13, 6 p.m. at a public hearing on the City budget, City Hall.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. at a public hearing on the proposed tax revenue increase, City Hall.

City Council is scheduled to vote on adopting the budget and tax rate at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at City Hall.
