The Fort Worth City Council will continue the process of reauthorizing the Transportation Impact Fee program, required by state law every five years.
City Council has received the 2022 Transportation Impact Fee study, Land Use Assumptions, Transportation Improvement Plan and the Maximum Assessable Rate. The Maximum Assessable Rates is the rate needed to construct the Transportation Improvement Plan within five years.
The Maximum Assessable Rate in the 2022 Transportation Impact Fee Study shows a 37% increase from the 2017 Study. This is based on construction cost increases and growth patterns in the city.
In the majority of the City’s 19 fee service areas, these rates are consistent with prior studies. The collection rate is based on the dollar amount collected during building permitting, input from stakeholder groups earlier this year and a recommendation from the 2010 Blue Ribbon Task Force.
