This capital project delivery construction project is part of the City of Fort Worth Water Department’s efforts to provide increased water supply and reliability to the fast-growing northern sector of the city.

It is necessary to install a 54-inch in diameter water main from the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment plant (south of Robertson Road and west of Bowman Roberts Road), north to the existing 36-inch in diameter water main at the Willow Springs Road/Blue Mound Road West intersection. A segment of this proposed water main will be constructed in the right-of-way of the future Fleming Ranch Road.

This is a three-phase project. Phase 2 will go to construction first.

Phase 2 is in Fort Worth Council District 7 from West Bonds Ranch Road - at the northern side -  then south to the area at Park Drive and Boat Club Road. This, as well as Phase 1, are also in the Chapel Hill West Addition.

Phase 1 picks up at Park Drive and Boat Club Road and continues south to the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant. This segment is in Fort Worth Council District 7 and extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Phase 3 is in Fort Worth Council District 10 – and extraterritorial jurisdiction - in the area from West Bonds Ranch road north and east to Wagley Robertson Road.

The overall project is bound by

  • Blue Mound Road to the north
  • Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant to the south
  • Northwest Hwy 287 and Wagley Robertson Road to the east
  • And, Saginaw Boulevard and the railroad to the east, and extraterritorial jurisdiction – and housing sites to the west.

The Transportation Impact Fee Capital Fund will be used to help fund the Fleming Road construction with the City of Fort Worth city limits as part of this project.
