The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) is reconstructing and widening FM156 (Blue Mound Road) from U.S. 81/Highway 287 south to Watauga Smithfield Road. Conflicts were discovered with the proposed road and drainage construction, so Fort Worth Water will relocate four water main crossings between Heritage Trace Parkway and East Bailey Boswell Road. The affected crossings include:
Vault/structure adjustments are also slated for Blue Mound Road at Western Center Boulevard, Blue Mound Road at Basswood Boulevard, Blue Mound Road at East Harmon Road and Blue Mound Road between Copper Crossing and Heritage Trace Parkway.
This project also includes extending a water line from the dead end of Black Sumac Drive southwest to East Bailey Boswell Road, ending just east of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
This project is in Fort Worth Council District 10, Fort Worth Council District 7 and the City of Saginaw. It also touches Fort Worth Council District 2.
