Grand Avenue Sidewalk Project

This is a project to build a new sidewalk that is larger than the current one.

The new sidewalk starts at Northside Dr., east to Clinton, and follows North Grand Ave. to Main St.

In addition, the design plans prioritize the historic trees located in this area and where possible, seeks minimal impact to these trees.

The purpose is to  provide a safe continuous sidewalk near Oakwood Cemetery.

This project is in Council District 2.

October 2024 Project Update

Construction on this project is expected to start in November 2024.

The City's Transportation and Public Works Department invites you to the December 5, 2024  meeting to share proposed plans for a new sidewalk.
