This project is part of the The Texas Department of Transportation Highway Safety Improvement Program.

The official receipt and opening of bids, also known as letting by TxDOT, will be in June 2024.

The Intersection will be upgraded with the following:

• New traffic signal
• Dual left turn lanes for northbound left turn
• Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS)
• ADA ramps
• Intersection safety lighting
• Updated pavement markings 

This project is in Council District 6.

January 2024 Project Status

The City received final design plans at the end of 2023.
