Construction of new four-lane divided roadway including shared use paths, street lighting and stormwater drainage.

Construction of two new lanes and complete reconstruction of existing lanes, creating an upgraded four lane Arterial between the BNSF yard entrances ion the west and Old Blue mound Road on the East end of the project.

This will allow for connectivity with adjacent entrances to be maintained and single lane each direction will be maintained throughout the project duration.

This project is in Council District 10.

June 2026 Project Update

Intermodal Parkway has been issued a street full closure for ten days starting Monday, June 22, 2026 near Mobility Way and the BNSF tracks for the auto unloading facility. Message boards are in place providing detour notice. This is intended to be fully re-opened to traffic before the July 4th holiday.
