The Lebow Channel area from Long Avenue north to DeRidder experiences regular flooding. This project seeks to mitigate flooding from the channel by increasing the width and depth of the channel, improving each roadway crossing and providing a detention pond at Long Avenue. The project will be implemented in phases over multiple years.

The City has applied for State and Federal funding to help fund the projects. It is anticipated to find our about these funding sources in the Fall of 2024.

This project is in Council District 2.
