This is a design only project for Meacham Boulevard from IH-35W to Blue Mound Road. 

The project, in coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation, includes:

• Widening Meacham to a five-lane roadway 
• Adding pedestrian railing and sidewalks over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) bridge. 
• Bike lanes
• Street lights
• Right-of-way acquisition
• Drainage improvements
  
  

January 2024 Project Status 

The initial design plans are complete. Next, the team is working towards the 60% design plans.

This project is in Council District 2.
