Water & Sanitary Sewer Imrpovements

This alignment study focuses on the proposed water transmission main that would extend from the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant (6801 Bowman Roberts Road) at the southwest end, to the existing 36-inch in diameter Northside III water main at Willow Springs Road -  at the Blue Mound Road West intersection - to the northeast.

This capital improvement project area is bound by:

  • Willow Springs Road and Hwy. 287 to the east;
  • Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant/Dozier Elementary/Longhorn Lane to the south;
  • And Eagle Mountain Country Club to the west.

This project is currently in two phases, but may be divided in to three phases with this study.

  • Phase 1  is a 17,900 foot segment of the selected alignment from Park Drive to the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant to allow for increased pumping efficiency for future expansion of the treatment plant.
  • Phase 2 starts just north of Harbour View Lane - at N Bay Breeze Lane - northeast to Blue Mound Road at Willow Springs Road, north of V.R. Eaton High School.

The southern part of the project is in Fort Worth Council District 7 and Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The northern end is in Fort Worth Council District 10 and Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

The proposed water transmission main will provide increased reliability for increasing and future growth in the far north area of Fort Worth.

The study will impact the Northwest Fort Worth neighborhood alliance.
