- Project value$3,758,755.00
Existing water and sanitary sewer mains will be replaced in an area bound by Mt. Olivet Cemetery to the north, I-35W to the west, I-30 to the south and Haltom Road to the east. Landmarks include Gateway Park, Fort Woof Park, Sylvania Park, Riverside Park and Harmon Field Park.
In August 2024, Fort Worth City Council approved a change to the Riverside bridge that is part of this project. A segment of the water main - that is attached to the southbound deck of the Riverside Bridge - will be removed. The 12-inch in diameter water main currently attached to the bridge will be removed in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation’s rehabilitation of the Riverside Drive bridge. This amendment allows for the removal and relocation of the water main from Riverside Drive to Booker Street.
Streets that will be impacted include:
- Wayne Street from East 1st Street to Goddard Street (sewer)
- Gilmore Street from Beach Street to Wayne Street (water and sewer)
- Goddard Street from North Beach Street to Haltom Road (water and sewer)
- Riverside Drive from Interstate 30 to Booker Street (water and sewer)
- Grace Avenue from Belknap Street/US Hwy. 377 to Airport Freeway (water and sewer)
