This large City project is comprehensive and involves major improvements along Trinity Boulevard.

Phase 1 - from Loop 820 to Salado Trail.

This section of roadway will be reconstructed as a four-lane, divided concrete arterial. This project includes a landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the roadway and drainage system improvements.

A roundabout will be constructed at the entrance to the Trinity Lakes Development and a traffic signal will be reconstructed at the Salado Trail intersection. After project completion, Trinity Boulevard will no longer be in a floodplain.

Phase 2 - from Salado Trail to Thames Trail.

A four-lane, divided concrete arterial is planned for this section of Trinity Boulevard. A landscaped median, multi-use trails on each side of the road, drainage improvements and water and sewer lines will be constructed. 

This project is in Council District 5.

January 2025 Project Update 

Phase 1: 

• Contractor is finishing the roundabout, expect minor traffic shifts as necessary.
• Contractor will be finishing remaining sidewalk, illumination, traffic signal, irrigation and landscaping through March 2025.

Phase 2

• Sequin Trail intersection will be closed until waterline is complete.
• The Contractor has begun waterline construction. Traffic will be moved to the northern two lanes, and traffic control will match with Phase 1. Waterline construction to last through March 2025.
• Road construction will begin after the completion of the waterline.
